Antonia and John celebrated their international autumn civil wedding at Mandlstraße in Munich, right next to the entrance of the English Garden — a beautiful spot that often becomes the heart of many relaxed English Garden wedding celebrations. The day was full of joy, but also full of rain, so instead of rushing through portraits in bad weather, we decided to plan something calmer and more personal after the wedding.
We met again in one of the quieter, wilder corners of the park. Far from tourists and weekend crowds, the English Garden suddenly felt peaceful — the perfect atmosphere for two people who feel more comfortable without too much attention. As a Munich documentary wedding photographer, I love creating a space where people can relax and forget about the camera so their photos feel honest and truly theirs.
This is what Antonia says about their English Garden wedding photoshoot: “The after-wedding session became something truly special. Lucia patiently waited for the perfect day and the perfect light and created an atmosphere where we could simply be ourselves. The photos show a free, intimate and beautiful version of us that feels deeply precious. Although there were many wedding-day portraits we already loved, this session added a different layer and helped us focus on what it’s all about.”
